Welcome

Welcome to Greensleeves Photography. I am located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, but travel to New Orleans often. I've been taking pictures in both areas! I started this business as a side business to do something I love to do. I'm constantly learning all the ins and outs of photography. Thank you for visiting the site. I hope you like what you see! -Shelle

Ella and I's practice session

Had a practice session with Ella yesterday. Here are a few of my favorties that I enjoyed from the session. I was surprised that I got some good ones of her. I was doing it by myself, and she kept getting up and walking away.

Ella-- Mardi Gras Session

Mardi Gras is a popular time down in Louisiana, where I am from. We couldn't go down this year because of school and work, so Ella's Paw Paw sent us Mardi Gras in a box. I went and bought Mardi Gras fabric and took pictures of her with the beads and toys that were sent to her. She had a blast during this time!

Moua Children

I had the honor of taking pictures of a friend of mine's niece and nephew. I don't think we could have picked a worst day! It was freezing despite the sun being out. Plus poor Aileen forgot her jacket, so we didn't get to take many pictures. I even forgot my jacket, which wasn't very smart on my part.

Savannah

I had the honor of being able to photograph Savannah. She was the greatest subject ever!

Amy

Amy is a friend of mine who allowed me to practice on her. We tried to match her personality to the pictures. Amy loves beads, so we did a Mardi Gras theme session.

Ella- 15 month

This is where I really started to practice with aperture and lighting exposure. It all came to me shopping one day at the Gap. I saw this dress that made me think "roaring twenties," and I had to buy it. I went to Michael's after and found some ribbon to make a headband out of and stuck a feather on it. While searching for the perfect background because their is still snow on the ground in Minnesota, I kept picturing a gold background with hardwood floors. I came very close to my vision, and I was happy with the results.
